This week the Enviro Agents spent their lunchtime getting busy in the gardens. We watered and watered and watered some more because the ground so was dry from all of our lovely sunshine. We prepared the soil so that it was aerated and wet ready for our new crops. Our summer foods had done their dash so it was time to think about what we could plant ready for winter.
One Enviro Agent donated some carrots for us to plant and we also had some broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, silverbeet, cabbage, and bok choy.
Now we just have to remember to keep them watered while the sun is still shining and hopefully we will be able to enjoy some delicious vegetables soon.

Enviro Agents for 2014
Welcome to all the new keen Middle and Senior Enviro Agents for 2014. Today was the first day we have meet and we headed over to the garden to be introduced to our Trees for Survival project where we plant native seedlings into pots and then replant them into larger pots eventually planting them down by the Waikato River to not only beautify our school community but wider community.
We also got our first taste of a well looked after garden with some fresh raspberries and a few tomatoes.
Then we headed back into the class to put together our compost bin which we will fill with worms to hopefully get worm juice.

Buddy Day
The Middle Enviro Agents have started creating an Enviro buddy today for Buddy Day.
We have created our character and have a few ideas for how to decorate him. Keep checking in to see how he ends up looking.
Below is the description we made up about him.
